Acer Chromebooks - Chromebook Operating System Does Not Affect (ChromeOS )


This record applies to Acer Chromebook computers with ChromeOS.
This file explains what to do if your Acer Chromebook has power but does not boot up into the os. In case the computer is still unresponsive, collapses, or even has a dark screen, then follow the steps within this document to resolve the situation.

  • Remove outside apparatus
  • When the Chromebook does not even start, eliminate any USB devices, and remove memory cards from the card reader slot. Disconnect all non-essential apparatus including external hard drives and other related devices.
  • Measure 1: After you have removed all external devices, turn onto the Chromebook.
